Risk Controls
The rules you set, enforced on the days you'd break them
Automation's real advantage isn't speed — it's discipline. TigerTradeBot enforces the risk rules you turn on, mechanically, every session. Several are off by default, so review them before you trade.
Daily loss limits
A per-instance circuit breaker stops new entries for the day when a loss limit (percent or dollars) or a run of consecutive losses is hit.
Stop-loss & take-profit
Exit rules per instance: stop loss, take profit, trailing stops, maximum hold time, and protect-winner exits.
Position sizing caps
Fixed, risk-fraction, volatility-target or capped-Kelly sizing, limited by risk per trade, % of equity, and a maximum share count.
Portfolio-wide limits
Per-symbol exposure, combined daily loss and combined drawdown limits, pushed to every instance from the Portfolio page.
Trading guards
Pattern-day-trader, wash-sale re-entry and settled-funds guards, an event-risk guard, and stale-quote protection.
Kill switch
On the Portfolio page: type HALT ALL INSTANCES to stop new entries on every instance for the day, and optionally flatten open positions.
Portfolio controls
Every strategy plays by house rules
Strategies don't get to act alone. The Portfolio Risk Console sets limits across every running instance — per-symbol exposure, combined daily loss, combined drawdown — so five well-behaved strategies can't quietly add up to one reckless account.
Risk settings belong to each bot instance, so a paper instance can run with exactly the guardrails you'd use live. Practice with them before you need them.
