Interactive Brokers (planned)

Interactive Brokers isn't supported for trading yet. What exists today, and what to use instead.

Interactive Brokers is planned, not supported. TigerTradeBot can’t place orders at IBKR today, and no strategy can route to it. There’s no release date yet.

What exists today

Settings → Global Configuration → Brokers & Data has an IBKR section with IBKR Host and IBKR Port fields and a Test IBKR button. The test only checks that TigerTradeBot can reach Trader Workstation (TWS) or IB Gateway on your computer. It doesn’t mean trading works.

What to use instead

For stocks, ETFs and options: Charles Schwab
For stocks, ETFs and crypto, with paper keys: Alpaca
To practice without any broker account: the built-in simulator in Paper mode

Want IBKR sooner? Tell us. Integration priority is set by real demand.
